Welcoming the stranger who sings off key
Harmony is not necessarily singing in parts. For me it means singing together and making people who want to join in feel welcome. In the long run it sounds fine or at least human.
By default I ended up co-ordinating the music for the Saturday Evening Mass in our Parish. There is a wonderful musician who looks after the Main Choir and all the big Seasonal Liturgies so we all fold together for that. I believe in making a joyful noise and I love when the congregation sings in all those different keys at once - we are like a chorus of birds (and you know they all sing noisily)
